Re: Selling Sakho
I heard Sakho wants to stay and is willing to take a cut in salary to do it and work with Moyes.

Yes he needs to move on. On both threads....

Re: Selling Sakho
He is a good striker who's goal to game ratio is as good as we could hope for from any player at our level.

the problem with Sakho is in his head, he is unsettled and want to play as the first choice striker...

If he's not Moyes first choice option then he should be let go

Re: Selling Sakho
People keep perpetuating the myth that Sakho is mad. I'm not so sure that I wouldn't be mad in his situation. He was on a very low contract and watches players like Hart, Carroll, Chicharito, Ayew and even Snodgrass and Fonte as well as Zaza and Tores last season all coming in and getting more money than him. It's no secret that he fell out with Bilic.

I understand why Sullivan might offer him a big starting fee to keep him interested and get fit enough to earn it but it seems to have caused a problem here and the best thing is to either offer him a decent contract or get rid....

"Diafra Sakho came off the bench for West Ham in their Carabao Cup quarter-final at Arsenal after challenging manager David Moyes about his place in the team and his £50,000 bonus.

Sakho had expected to start at the Emirates Stadium until a conversation with Moyes about why the new manager had not been picking him to start in the Premier League team.

Afterwards, the 27-year-old striker said he no longer wanted to play and wanted to go home but was persuaded to stay and take his place among the substitutes."

Re: Selling Sakho
Him and Carroll were both fucking useless when they came on

Carroll won 1 out of about 8 headers and Sakho had one touch then let Holding bully him off the ball

I'd bite your arm off for £20M for the pair of them

Re: Selling Sakho
If the story about Sakho in the paper is true, then, yes I'm pissed off with Sakho for his thinking; however, I'm more baffled about his contract situation. It might explain why he didn't start instead of Carroll on a few occasions. Idiotic decision by him though as I reckon he should be the ideal choice if Antonio was injured, in this new formation.

Re: Selling Sakho
There's a story in the Daily Mail (I know) this morning saying Sakho was due to start Vs Arsenal. But then had a row with Moyes about why he doesn't start in the league. It's not given as a reason, but mentions he gets £50k bonus for every league start.

That CANNOT be true. Can it???????

"Even if Sakho leaves in jam.."

Are you suggesting he resembles the Robertson's jam mascot?

Re: Selling Sakho
First & foremost we need to won games. No Arnie,Antonio tonight nor Lanzini so he needs to start tonight ideally with little pea. AC if fit has showed us nothing this seasonand we’d need to change the whole team set up to accomodate him.
Evenif Sakho leaves in Jam he is more likely to score and also increase his value - more sellable than AC as his wages are cheaper & he’s slightly less injury prone than AC. A French side will pay 10 mil I am sure. Only sensible contract for AC is a free one with pay as you play and goal bonus clauses

Cheik TIOTE had a pretty deec season that year as well, shall we get him in?

Lee Trundle 12:32 Tue Dec 19
Re: Selling Sakho
You're suggesting we should keep him based on what happened 3 seasons ago. Why not keep Carroll then, as he had similar STATS that same season?

I'm suggesting we get what we can for him (I'd bite whoever's hand off if they're prepared to offer £12m for him) based on his 2 most recent seasons.

when ha had a proper full season he scored 10 in 23 games

Re: Selling Sakho
3 league goals over 2 seasons are not the STATS of a great goalscorer.

Bernie 12:18 Tue Dec 19
Re: Selling Sakho
Antonio doesn't really know how to play centre forward properly, he certainly doesn't know how to lead the line. What he does do is chase everything done at full pelt and often runs himself into the ground, which is what the team needed when Moysey came in, defending from the front, which you probably won't get with Sakho or Hernandez.

Now we've recovered a bit I'd like to see Antonio back on the right and a proper striker brought in

Sakho is a great goalscorer and should stay...let's get rid of Carroll if we must...

Re: Selling Sakho
If we sell a striker I cant see us bringing another one and I dont think we should either. Have more than enough for that position especially with Moyes playing Arnie up there aslo!

We need a CM!

Re: Selling Sakho
I agree with the OP - selling Sakho would be a silly thing to do unless he puts in a transfer request.

Now can we get back to taking the piss out of Eerie "Daddio" Descent?

'an odd point to make' encapsulates your entire posting history. Antonio is about as good a striker as he is at right-back.

He is an attacking right-winger with busted ribs working his way back to fitness and has usually been the first player hooked off after an hour or so.

Sakho is an actual striker.
